POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Ready2Teach Director, the Ready2Teach Coordinator will support the planning and administration of the on-the-job training program focused on preparing Infant and Toddler teachers. The coordinator will oversee administrative tasks, manage education and training schedules, coordinate event logistics, calculate payments for program participants and vendors, and assist program interns by providing information, materials, and referrals to relevant resources. This position will be hired and directly supervised by the Ready2Teach Director.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Strong knowledge and experience in ECE program implementation

• Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, education, workforce development, or a related field.
• BA degree in human services, child development or social service-related field, preferred
• Associate degree in human services, child development or social service-related field required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with career and/or educational advisement related to early childhood education.
• Ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to inform the design and implementation of workforce programs. ?
• Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity, with a strong professional reputation.?
• Strong, warm, and positive public presence and the ability to interact with many types of stakeholders on multiple levels.
• Cultural awareness and ability to navigate and promote sensitivity with issues of race and equity and knowledge of racial equity and racial justice in the context of public education.

• The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Deliver high-quality programming aligned with the educational, administrative, and service delivery goals of Ready2Teach and LAEP.
• Support apprentice enrollment processes and track progress, including monitoring attendance at college courses, trainings, and assigned work sites, and collecting grade reports.
• Assist with the coordination of apprentice placements and maintain accurate records of site assignments.
• Create and maintain databases to support accurate tracking of program data.
• Manage participant timesheets and payment processing, including calculating apprentice hours, entering data into the financial operations platform (e.g., Bill.com), and ensuring timely payments. Investigate and resolve issues related to missed or delayed payments.
• Prepare and document expenditure requests for apprentice-related supplies, services, and reimbursements.
• Coordinate and participate in workforce-related events, including recruitment fairs, outreach campaigns, conferences, college presentations, and graduation ceremonies.
• Organize and lead program events such as orientations, trainings, commencements, and wellness days.
• Coordinate and document the distribution of materials and resources to apprentices, including textbooks, laptops, and transportation stipends.
• Actively participate in department meetings and LAEP-wide trainings and initiatives.
