DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

  • Graduate level qualification, minimum 2:1, with a preference for A-level Maths, or 3+ years’ experience, ideally including banking, real estate, fund management, or similar profession
  • Highly organised and reliable, strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and excellent attention to detail
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, distil, and interpret financial information, supported by excellent written skills and good report writing proficiency

Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated Analyst / Associate to join the REDM Portfolio Team and assist with the ongoing management of a portfolio of borrowers. This role will form a vital part of the team which is responsible for handling all client relationships and investor reporting. The role will also encompass support and involvement in the wider activities of the REDM business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining strong relationships with borrowers and assisting with the day to day management of the existing loan portfolio, providing exceptional client service
  • Liaising with colleagues in the New Lending Team to ensure a smooth handover of new clients following drawdown of loans
  • Monitoring loan facilities to facilitate early detection of under-performance and engaging with borrowers to resolve issues promptly, reporting any exceptions
  • Analysing annual property re-valuations, engaging with valuers, and assessing financial covenants
  • Preparing annual reviews in a timely manner for inclusion within quarterly Investor Reports
  • Monitoring loan expiries and assisting with executing new facilities or achieving a prompt exit
  • Credit analysis of commercial real estate loan applications for existing borrowers (e.g. loan increases to support acquisition activity, disposals, refinancing, or re-structuring). This includes:
  • financial modelling
  • tenant risk analysis
  • sector analysis
  • property due diligence
  • assisting with loan re-structuring for existing borrowers
  • preparing detailed Investment Committee papers
  • supporting other team members to review legal documentation and due diligence
  • Assessing and delivering other ad-hoc borrower requests
  • Engagement and co-ordination with a variety of internal and external counterparties
  • Collaborating with all REDM team members and working on other team projects, as required
    The role will be based in our Wilmslow office and with regular travel to attend meetings / site visits throughout the UK. In-office attendance full time throughout an initial 6-month probation period, with flexibility to work one day per week from home thereafter, subject to operational requirements.
