We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team, focusing on Real Estate Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance. This direct hire role involves underwriting and analyzing real estate insurance applications to ensure profitable and compliant growth. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaborating with brokers and agents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience, ideally in real estate or professional liability
• Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a consistent underwriting workflow

• Evaluate real estate E&O applications, analyzing risk exposures and determining appropriate coverage and pricing
• Assess property details such as construction type, occupancy, and location risks
• Review supporting documents including title reports, appraisals, and inspection reports
• Collaborate with agents and brokers to clarify applications and negotiate policy terms
• Maintain underwriting files in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Stay current on industry changes, underwriting guidelines, and market conditions
