Job Summary: A Real Estate Loan Office with Altana FCU provide Real Estate expertise to members and the general public in support of their overall financial goals. This individual will build a book of business through building relationships in the community and networking. Primary Responsibilities: Loan Production – Interviews with member, gathering documents, analysis of loan, working with realtors Networking and community involvement Training staff to help with referrals for new loans Working with investors Expectations: Obtain and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies. Coordinate with other departments and refer members to departments/personnel providing specialized services as necessary. Obtain and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all Credit Union related policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, robbery, safety and security procedures. Follow all credit union policies and procedures. Represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner with all people including fellow employees, members, management, board members and outside vendors. Attend and participate in meetings as required. Completes required courses as assigned for ongoing compliance and continuing education. Other assignments and duties as required. Report to work on time each scheduled day. Job Qualifications Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree Preferred Experience: Two or more years of experience in a customer-facing sales capacity in the financial services industry. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): Must have or be eligible for NMLS. Previous real estate and loan generation experience is preferred. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of loan generation and real estate, with the ability to apply knowledge in different situations Able to analyze complex or unusual situations and adapt as needed. Planning skills preferred — must be able to manage schedules, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple responsibilities. Basic computer skills needed. Will use spreadsheets, checklists, and loan processing systems. Must be able to draft, edit, and proofread emails and letters, representing the credit union professionally. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Will regularly interact with members and the community. Strong knowledge of the real estate market, underwriting, and internal lending policies is essential. Must be able to collaborate well with coworkers, members, and community partners. Will handle confidential information with care and professionalism. Makes decisions that impact their own work or area of responsibility. Must be able to assess and solve various types of problems using past experience and standard practices. Works independently using existing guidelines. Supervisor is available for help if needed.
