Description This is an opening for a paralegal with at least two year’s experience working in our Binghamton office. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Draft commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements, correspondence, memoranda, open files and prepare file folders. Communicate directly with clients, other attorneys, realtors and title companies. Schedule closings. Proof read documents and ensure accuracy for proper recording with County Clerk. Prepare commercial and residential closing packages including closing statements, drafting of all required documents and post-closing review. Prepare title insurance commitments and final title insurance policies for New York and Pennsylvania. Draft and edit real estate mortgage closing documents and closing adjustments for commercial and residential mortgage matters. Coordinate bank closing packages including scheduling, closing disclosures, closing adjustments and post-closing review. Coordinate post-closing recording of documents, disbursement of funds, calendaring any post-closing escrows. Maintain and track schedules, contingencies, deadlines and calendars. Maintain electronic and physical legal files including general organization, index closing documents and post-closing file management. Provide secretarial/clerical support as needed. Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information. Provide other support as needed. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: Strong word processing skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members. Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Client service focused. Ability to work well under pressure. High level of professionalism. Overtime as necessary.
Responsibilities
