Scott Venturo Rudakoff LLP ("SVR") is looking for an intermediate to experienced real estate legal assistant/paralegal with at least two (2) years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. SVR is a mid-sized law firm located in Calgary, Alberta. Our firm was founded in 1986 and strives to maintain the positive aspects of a small firm environment that encourages team and social interaction between staff and lawyers.

The Role:

  • Residential real estate transactions - drafting and processing of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale and refinance, from opening to closing files.
  • Communicate with clients, realtors, conveyancing offices, and third parties.
  • Conducting tax and title, and other due diligence searches.
  • Manage closing dates and other deadlines.
  • Organise, track and maintain documentation relevant to the files and follow up as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Legal Administrative Diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Real Estate Legal Assistant Experience: 2 years minimum (required).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook and Utility (or other real estate software).
  • Experience with commercial or builder transactions is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Current resident of Calgary, AB or surrounding area.

Job Type:
