Description
Description Odyssey Real Estate Company – Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort Office – Deerwood, Minnesota Real Estate Sales Agent Resort & Fractional Ownership – Full-Time | Commission-Based | Independent Contractor | Multiple Positions Available About the Role Odyssey Real Estate Company is seeking multiple experienced, results-driven Real Estate Sales Agents to join our team at our year-round sales office located at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort in Deerwood, Minnesota. We are building a dedicated sales team from the ground up, making this a rare opportunity to be among the first agents representing an established, iconic Minnesota resort property with an active and growing inventory of new construction units. With 75+ million in new construction inventory planned over the next five years, each agent will have access to a substantial pipeline of resort real estate. The resort real estate includes fractional ownership interests, whole-ownership units, and residential properties. In addition to on-property sales, agents are encouraged to pursue additional real estate opportunities off-site, expanding their personal book of business under the Odyssey brokerage. These are not part-time or supplemental roles. We are looking for committed, full-time sales professionals who are ready to build a long-term presence at one of Minnesota’s most recognized resort destinations. What You’ll Be Doing Selling Resort Property • Work the full inventory — fractional interests, whole-ownership units, and on-property residential • Sell new construction, including working with buyers before units are complete • Stay in sync with the development team on timelines and what’s coming to market Working with Buyers • Have real conversations with buyers about what vacation ownership looks like • Run tours, showings, and remote presentations • Stay in touch with past clients Closing Deals • Take transactions from first inquiry through closing • Handle purchase agreements, negotiations, and amendments • Coordinate with title, lenders, attorneys, and HOAs as needed • Keep clean, accurate transaction files Building Outside Business • Outside opportunities are fair game and encouraged • All transactions run through the Odyssey brokerage per Minnesota license requirements Requirements What We’re Looking For • Active Minnesota real estate license • At least two years of sales experience — resort, recreational, or new construction experience is a plus • Someone who is self-directed and can take ownership of their pipeline and drive tasks forward proactively • Good with people, good on paper — you can explain a unique ownership structure clearly and write a clean offer • Organized, professional, and someone who takes the compliance side seriously What to Expect You’ll manage your own calendar, but this is a full-time role, and we’ll need you present and available, especially during busy seasons on the lake. Evenings and weekends come with the territory. The office is open year-round. Confidentiality and ethical standards are non-negotiable. You’ll be expected to stay current with Minnesota real estate statutes, Fair Housing requirements, and brokerage policies. Compensation Commission-based, governed by your independent contractor agreement with Odyssey Real Estate Company. With the inventory we have planned, there’s real money to be made here — but it’s up to you to go get it. Equal Opportunity Statement All real estate services provided under this role must comply with federal, state, and local Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity laws. Odyssey Real Estate Company provides services without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, receipt of public assistance, or any other protected class under Minnesota law.
Responsibilities
Agents will be responsible for selling the full inventory of resort property, including fractional interests and whole-ownership units, while working closely with buyers from initial inquiry through closing. They are also encouraged to pursue and manage additional real estate opportunities off-site under the Odyssey brokerage.
