QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Previous experience in estimating, construction, or administrative support is an asset but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating software is a plus.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Rebar Estimating Assistant to support our estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for construction projects. This entry-to-mid level role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational and analytical skills who are eager to develop their career in construction estimating.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist estimators in reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Support in preparing quantity take-offs and material lists.
  • Gather supplier and subcontractor quotes for pricing comparisons.
  • Maintain and update estimating databases, cost records, and proposal templates.
  • Help compile bid packages and proposals for submission.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as document control, filing, and scheduling.
  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely information flow.
