Lancashire Women have delivered resettlement interventions for women in HMP Styal for five years. We take a holistic approach to our support services within the prison. The role will require someone to maintain the solid links that we have within the prison and external organisations but also build on those by creating new links.
The post holder will be required to deliver a range of interventions to support women preparing for release from prison, The aim is to support their reintegration into the community successfully but also break down any barriers that have prevented the women from resettling successfully previously. This is the first stage of their journey with Lancashire Women and is a crucial role in supporting the women we work with. It means full involvement within the prison and advocating for our women to ensure that we achieve the best possible outcomes. This role will require the post holder to pass enhanced HMP’S prison vetting.
