Details of the position:

• Location: East Williams Memorial Public School Ailsa Craig ON
• Qualifications: RECE / ECE Apprentices for permanent employment (other relevant experience and training will be considered for contract positions. Rates of wages may vary, including apprentices and contract positions, depending on credentials.
• Hours:7:15-9:15 and 3-6 Monday to Friday (candidates must be able to do both a.m. and p.m. hours 5 days/wk)
• In-between hours in childcare may be available to those who are interested in more hours.
• Benefits: Permanent employment (RECEs/ ECE Apprentices only) includes group benefits, paid time off and an RSP employee/employer contribution plan. To be a permanent employee and receive benefits, you must work at least 25hrs/wk.
• Other requirements: Valid driver’s license and vehicle/reliable transportation.
• All candidates must have current First Aid and CPR level “C” training
• Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months)
• Wages:
• RECEs -starting at $24.86/HR including all wage enhancements.
• ECE apprentices -starting at $22.47/HR including a Wage enhancement grant (WEG) and additional funding
• Other qualifying credentials-starting at $19.58/HR including a Wage Enhancement grant (WEG).

These positions work all year round, including summer. Contract hours will be guaranteed on PA days and school holidays, including the summer, but may vary based on the program’s needs.
Educators plan and implement inquiry and play-based programs for school-age children in a team-focused environment that provides ongoing opportunities for learning and growth. **Candidates who have been selected for interviews may request a copy of the full job description and successful candidates will receive it during the onboarding process.
