Description

Overview of Position:
At Traynor’s Bakery Wholesale Ltd., our receivers play an essential role in ensuring that all incoming product is unloaded, accounted for, stored and replenished. You will operate warehouse equipment in order to safely unload incoming trucks and put product away throughout a multi-storied warehouse in a fashion that provides optimal order picker efficiency. Our receivers are responsible for the daily receiving of product, counting and managing the flow of all warehouse inventory. As a receiver, you must always arrive on time and be comfortable spending long hours on your feet and in the cold.

Primary Tasks:

  • Use RF scanner in combination with receiving documents and bills of lading to accurately receive and store incoming products throughout the entirety of the warehouse (main warehouse, fridge, freezers etc.)
  • Verify incoming product according to packing slips and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.) and report any discrepancies to management
  • Operation of machinery (walkie, walkie ryder, forklift etc.)
  • Load and unload outgoing/ incoming trucks
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed
  • Ensure all predetermined warehouse goals are met
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions
  • Adhere to health and safety policies as well as quality standards
  • Ensure warehouse is consistently clean and organized
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as required

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience is an asset
  • Previous forklift experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in below freezing temperatures (up to -20°C)
  • Ability to read and write at an advanced level
  • Must work well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Exceptional physical strength and stamina
  • Diligent and punctual
  • Superb attention to detail
