QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, storing, or handling merchandise, preferably in the food industry within a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing up to 50lb.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature environments, including cold storage areas.
  • Proactive, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload while maintaining efficiency.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within strict deadlines.
  • Accurately monitor and minimize wastage to ensure efficiency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and verify incoming food and beverage deliveries, ensuring accuracy in quantity, quality, and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Reject unacceptable products and maintain traceability integrity using internal lot numbers (Julian Sticker System).
  • Adhere to food safety regulations, including FIFO (First In, First Out), date marking, proper labeling, and HACCP protocols.
  • Distribute products to appropriate storage areas, including dry storage, coolers, freezers, and designated sections for meat, fish, and produce.
  • Break down pallets and boxes, labeling items accordingly, and ensure proper storage organization.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring timely clearance of incoming shipments.
  • Conduct inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals while maintaining food safety compliance.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Receiving Supervisor or Purchasing Manager.
