Description Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of parts and equipment to all operations using experienced Receiving Clerks who can operate a variety of tools and resources. In this job, you will work in a fast-paced production environment, using pallet jacks, carts, and inventory software. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists. Inspect deliveries to ensure they match order quantity and invoice criteria. Receive and sign for deliveries. Process returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items. Organize and store received items in appropriate areas. Update inventory with received items. Communicate with co-workers regarding delays or problems. Maintain records of orders, delivery details, etc. Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs. If this job is one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have, or the initiative to learn, the following: Ability to set up and operate material handling equipment. Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs. Pass a forklift driving test (Nemco certification). Ability to keep workspace clean and organized. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday (7:00am-3:30pm) Subject to Change Occasional overtime is required Requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with frequent walking. Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 30 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile). Carrying: Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances. Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances. Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances. Bending: Frequent bending required to perform a variety of tasks. Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts in tubs, carts, or pallets. Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 30 lbs.
Responsibilities
The Receiver is responsible for inspecting incoming deliveries, verifying them against purchase orders, and organizing items in the warehouse. They must also update inventory software and maintain material-handling equipment.
