Responsibilities

With this role, your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Hardware requirements management
  • Functional design of the receiver subsystem
  • Technical management of design engineers through the lifecycle
  • Ownership of the electronics work packages within the subsystem
  • Developing plans for subsystem level integration and verification
  • Contributing towards LRI integration and verification plans
  • Chairing of design reviews within the Physical Hardware Design Process
  • Acting as primary point of contact to Engineering Management for all aspects of Electronics Engineering development
  • Mentoring and supervision of more junior team member

To be considered for this role as the Receiver Subsystem Lead, you will have experience in several of the following areas:

  • Designing electronics for harsh environments
  • Functional design of complex subsystems
  • Mixed-signal design
  • FPGAs
  • High speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!)
  • Using industry standard toolsets such as Matlab and Mentor DxDesigner
  • Working collaboratively across functions or in a multi-function team including Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing and Layout Engineers
  • Hands-on testing and integration with complex electronics in a laboratory environmen
