Description Role Overview: The Receiver supports the functions of the Receiving department to ensure smooth and timely operations of incoming products, materials, and supplies. This position works closely with management and the workers in the warehouse as well as customer service personnel. Duties may vary to include all or some of the following job responsibilities. Duties/Responsibilities: Assist in coordinating, organizing and unloading incoming receipts to keep to daily schedule. Communicates consistently with applicable individuals/departments to monitor shipment receiving status and ensure priorities are known and carried out to satisfy receiving schedule Operates a forklift to unload shipments and move to appropriate storage area. Responsible for handling documentation, including accurate log keeping of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Ensures product that is received matches the receiving paperwork and communicates to appropriate individuals when there is a discrepancy. Ensure tires and/or wheels are properly stacked during unloading. Consolidates product in the warehouse to make room for future receipts. Engage drivers with a positive attitude. Provides customer service and serves in an administrative capacity when needed. Assists in special and scheduled physical inventories. Promotes self-improvement in assigned tasks and always maintains a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and removing trash. Performs other duties as assigned. Key Performance Indicators: Ensure all live unloads are performed at or under allotted free time Ensure material received matches receiving documentation Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization is maintained Requirements Required Education/Experience and Skills: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Prior warehouse experience in the shipping department required. Forklift experience required. RF scanner gun experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred. Proficiency in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems preferred. Understand daily work schedules and delivery requirements; work to achieve on time/accurate delivery. Well organized, with the ability to track multiple activities involving numerous details. Willingness to be part of a team. Ability to work independently with a minimum of oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Capacity to handle prolonged periods of sedentary work or physical activity depending on job demands. Must be able to occasionally stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently use hands, talk or hear. Must be able to lift and move up to 50-75 pounds at times. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
