As a Receiver you will be responsible for operating an overhead crane, breaking crates, completing necessary receiving paperwork, and contributing to a safe team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and maintain current and accurate inventory information.
  • Conduct accurate and timely inventory counts.
  • Accurately label incoming inventory.
  • Complete documentation accurately when receiving glass.
  • Use five tonne overhead cranes to move glass packs.
  • Operate forklift, as required.
  • Provide positive client support and assistance.
  • Notify management of any deviations in product quality, or other roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as directed.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure all operations are performed in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), company safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); encourage a culture of safety on the production floor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping standards to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all aspects of the job.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support overall production goals and operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Current drivers licence.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to stand throughout entirety of shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and throughout entirety of shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, in a continuous manner, in a fast paced environment including lifting and extending arms through entirety of shift.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Strong dedication to ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the glass or window manufacturing or fabrication industry is an asset.
