QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with raw materials, such as metals and wood.
  • Ability to read blueprints using the metric measuring system.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Must have a passion for doing a job well.
  • Must be a “self-motivated” team player.
  • Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees incoming shipments of raw and sourced materials, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Ability to down stack incoming parts to verify counts.
  • Completing spot audits and compliance checks for inventory purposes.
  • Accurately log received items into MRP system
  • Communicate variances in inventory with procurement and quality teams.
  • Follow all safety protocols during unloading and handling of materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Label and allocate received items to their designated areas or directly to the floor per company procedures
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safety around the warehouse floor.
  • Utilize the MRP system to proactively pursue due and past due materials.
