Description Reports to: Receiving Supervisor Status: Full time Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM Summary: The receiving associate is responsible for physically and systematically processing all deliveries. Duties & Tasks: Receive and Inspect Shipments: Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and are in good condition. Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials in designated indoor and outdoor areas. Participate in yearly Physical Inventory. Material Handling: Safely handle and move large, heavy pipes and plates using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and cranes. Documentation: Ensure all receiving documentation is completed accurately and promptly, including updating inventory systems. Safety compliance: Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections to prevent accidents and injuries. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Ensure accuracy in receiving and inventory records Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipments and inventory Capability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy material Detailed oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast moving environment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instruction. Team orientated and self-motivated. Basic Math knowledge. Ability to read a tape measure and calipers. Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Forklift experience and ability to pass Bitzer certification. Must be able to stand on feet for at least 10 hours/day. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in material handling is a plus Experience: Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role, particularly with handling large and heavy materials. Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to operate material handling equipment. Work Environment: This job is performed in a manufacturing environment and proper PPE is required at all times, such as safety glasses, ear protection and steel toed shoes. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
