POSITION SUMMARY Receiving Clerk (Agent) The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving all kind of merchandise, especially food and liquor items. Setting up and organizing the receiving areas with designated supplies, forms and resources; maintain cleanliness at all time. Receive, unload, and process deliveries and account for incoming freight based on invoice and purchase orders, also to generate receiving reports in a daily basis. Maintain and secure all merchandise received at all times and procure the retrieving of these items from the dock in a timely manner. Work with electronic devices, including computers, Pallet Jacks, Fork Lift machinery, hand trucks and any other equipment necessary to perform the job. Ability to work and coordinate several pallets at the same time. Receiving, quality check, stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, consolidations and product identification. Duties require work in cold freezer (-23F) including inventory requirements on a daily basis, encompassing conducting detail month end invoice reconciliations and reporting. Inventory portfolio covers around 4,000 various food items and 2,000 items selection of wine, liquor and beer. Must be able to work a flexible schedule; long hours, late evenings, shift work, split-shifts, weekends and public holidays. Must be physically fit and have the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e. g., to identify defects). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Containers cargo loading and unloading, receiving cargo inventory, cargo receiving reconciliation and merchandise distribution/classification; work inside containers (work conditions with extreme temperatures above 90F). Container unloading is conducted in outdoor working environment, in humidity, rainy condition and under the direct sun light. Beside machinery equipment availability, a lot of manual labor is involved. Knowledge of mathematical conversions required (lbs. to kilos, ounces to grams, cm to inches, etc.) working with percentage, cubic feet and have understanding of working cost controls. Employee will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor. Verify and track received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs. Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy. Receive, store, ship, and deliver incoming and outgoing department packages and mail. Secure the receiving room and its contents, ensuring safekeeping of packages. Follow all national, state, and local hazardous material shipping guidelines and regulations. Ship all out-going mail and packages. Verify quantity and condition of packages upon receipt prior to delivery to guest. Communicate with guest regarding received packages. Maintain accurate tracking system on all shipping and receiving transactions, including receiving guest signatures for received packages. Communicate with proper management regarding any loss or damage with packages. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
