Description Job Summary: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely receipts of all inbound materials. This role ensures shipments are verified against purchase documentation, properly recorded in the inventory system, and staged or routed to the appropriate next step in the process. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production continuity, and identifying issues before they impact operations. Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Identify discrepancies (quantity, damage, wrong parts) and escalate immediately. Accurately enter receipts in the ERP/inventory system in real time. Label, tag, and stage materials for production, inspection, or storage. Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and Production on all material issues. Maintain organized, safe, and clearly marked receiving and staging areas. Support cycle counts and inventory audit as needed. Requirements Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ year of receiving, inventory, or material handling experience (manufacturing preferred). Skills & Abilities: Comfort working with ERP systems, inventory software, or digital receiving logs. Must have a strong attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to get certified). Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Required the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Requires regular use of hands for handling, inspecting, and moving materials. May require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials up to approximately 40 lbs. with or without assistance. Involves exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Requires the ability to follow typical manufacturing safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
