What You’ll Do: The Receiver receives all the materials coming into the plant such as mattress springs, cloth, wood and foam materials. The materials arrive in a semi-trailer that is pulled into the receiving dock. The Receiver is responsible for operating a forklift to unload the materials from the semi-trailer or manually unload trailers, scanning the materials into inventory and moving the materials to the appropriate raw materials storage area. May also be asked to perform other duties, as required by supervisor. This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities associated with the job. What You’ll Need: Continuous sitting while operating a forklift. Continuous use of arms, hand and legs to operate a forklift. Occasional mounting and dismounting of the forklift. Must be able to work in a non-airconditioned environment Must be able to work flexible hours (required overtime and Saturdays) Be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
