Job Summary The Receiving and Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the efficient flow of goods into our facility, ensuring the accuracy of inventory levels, and maintaining the integrity of warehouse operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt of incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders, updating inventory systems, and inspecting parts upon arrival. Additionally, the supervisor will coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional customer service. Essential Job Functions Supervise a receiving and inventory team to provide a high level of customer service Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts from regional suppliers Supervise and train a team on receiving inspections of goods from outside suppliers Record discrepancies and coordinate with responsible parties to resolve issues Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies Organize and store materials and products in designated locations Ensure that storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety regulations Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, production, customer service and logistics to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the supervision of the warehouse team Assist Supply Chain Manager in the implementation of warehouse layout and process improvements Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements related to receiving, inventory management and warehouse operations Other shipping/receiving/inventory and supervisory tasks as needed Requirements Requirements Possess working knowledge of supply chain, logistics concepts and business procedures relating to shipping, receiving, inventory and other warehouse functions with a focus on customer service Ability to read and understand mechanical design drawings and tolerances Good mechanical aptitude, able to use basic measuring tools including calipers Visual weld inspection experience a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Personnel and project supervision skills and experience Good organizational and follow-through skills Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure Detail-oriented, positive attitude and willing to learn new skills Intermediate level of computer skills in Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to write and speak effectively with employees at all levels within the organization Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years in logistics/warehouse experience Physical Requirements Required to wear PPE as needed This position is considered safety sensitive Physical Demands (reasonable accommodations may be made, if necessary): Physical Abilities Stand - Frequently Walk - Frequently Sit - Continuously Climb - Occasionally Crawl - N/A Squat or Kneel - Occasionally Bend - Occasionally Fine Manipulation - Occasionally Reach Outward - Occasionally Reach Above Shoulder - Occasionally Drive - Occasionally Lift /Carry 10 lbs or less - Occasionally 11-20 lbs - Occasionally 21-50 lbs - Occasionally Over 50 lbs - N/A Push / Pull 10 lbs or less - Occasionally 10-20 lbs - Occasionally 20-50 lbs - Occasionally Over 50 lbs - N/A N/A (Not Applicable) - Activity is not applicable to this occupation Occasionally - Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (.25 - 2.5 hrs/day) Frequently - Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5 hrs/day) Why Roxtec?
