We operate 19 branch locations and 13 showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.   Function: The Receiving Lead supports daily inbound operations by coordinating the work of the receiving team, ensuring that all shipments are unloaded, inspected, and processed accurately and efficiently. This role acts as the key link between associates and management, maintaining workflow, enforcing safety standards, and driving accuracy in product handling and documentation.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Daily Operations * Oversee and participate in unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments. * Assign daily tasks to receiving associates and monitor completion and quality. * Ensure products are received, labeled, and staged in accordance with company procedures. * Troubleshoot discrepancies, damaged goods, or documentation errors, escalating issues as needed. * Team Leadership * Support training and cross-training of receiving associates on standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety. * Provide feedback and assist the Supervisor/Manager in evaluating team performance. * Inventory Accuracy * Ensure all received items are accurately logged into inventory systems. * Verify counts, part numbers, and product conditions match packing slips and purchase orders. * Collaborate with inventory control to resolve receiving variances. * Safety & Compliance * Enforce all company safety rules and OSHA standards during receiving operations. * Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. * Report any safety incidents or equipment issues promptly. * Communication & Coordination * Act as a point of contact for carriers, drivers, and internal departments regarding inbound shipments. * Communicate effectively with purchasing, inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient flow of materials. * Relay important updates and shift performance details to the Supervisor/Manager.   Qualifications: * Minimum 2–3 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or senior associate role preferred. * Strong understanding of receiving processes, documentation, and inventory systems (ERP or WMS experience a plus). * Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to lead by example and motivate others in a fast-paced environment. * Forklift certification or the ability to become certified. * Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods. * Regularly bend, reach, and handle materials and equipment. * Comfortable working in warehouse conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc.).
