POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Receiving Specialist plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position responsible for receiving, inspecting, and routing all incoming shipments from vendors, customers, and external partners. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
This role also provides support to the shipping department as needed and requires regular use of forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse or receiving role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills (email, inventory systems, data entry).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with shipping/receiving software or ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload all incoming deliveries using forklift and other equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipments by comparing packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and document any discrepancies.
  • Label and route materials to appropriate departments or storage locations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (purchasing, manufacturing, quality control, etc.) to ensure materials reach the correct destination.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing outgoing shipments when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Accurately enter data into inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and carriers to resolve shipment issues.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and help monitor stock levels of incoming materials.
