JOB SUMMARY:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving activities within the warehouse. This includes supervising receiving staff, verifying incoming shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and coordination with internal and external partners.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Plan, organize, supervise, and actively participate in daily warehouse operations.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate dispatching, receiving, and quality control of products.
  • Monitor and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); enter data, correct errors, and control key system screens as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to coordinate activities and streamline workflows.
  • Measure and evaluate employee performance and warehouse activities, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Set clear expectations and provide training to staff for optimal performance.
  • Determine staffing requirements and allocate workloads efficiently.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations; maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate & Control Return Process:
  • Ensure compliance with all standardized procedures and policies.
  • Communicate discrepancies related to returns, product status changes, and damages promptly.
  • Oversee processing, receipt, and proper storage of all returns per company guidelines.
  • Verify accuracy of all GWMS and GERP data entries.
  1. Pre-Planning Returns Workload:
  • Analyze client Returns Group data and weekly forecasts to plan staffing needs.
  • Prioritize returns and receiving processes to meet schedule commitments.
  • Process and label NORA (No Return Authorization) items efficiently.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency.
  1. Returns Processes & Equipment Audits:
  • Conduct daily audits of staging lanes, pick locations, and documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to ensure scheduled maintenance and certifications are completed.
  1. Training & Development:
  • Lead daily pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate goals, achievements, and challenges impacting the Returns team.
  • Provide regular coaching and performance feedback to Returns employees.
  • Support employee development plans and train new forklift operators.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and integrity within the team.
  1. Management & Business Goals:
  • Partner with Area Leaders and Managers to resolve Returns-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with Operations Leadership to align on staffing and resource needs.
  • Support adherence to business commitments and performance targets.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
