Description
Coach, mentor and role model: Coordinate manpower daily; aligning staff across department to enhance productivity. Motivate the team, keeping them informed of goals related to production, safety, and quality. Support in leading the tier meetings when the Supervisor is absent discussing things like safety, quality, and daily priorities. Address and assist in resolving work issues, escalating them when needed. Continuous improvement and quality mindset: Uphold quality standards by clearly communicating objectives and goals to employees. Follow up with the appropriate business units/ departments to close out any shorts/ overages on received products. Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of warehouse. Workflow assignment and productivity: Assess put away demands and allocate necessary resources. Manage material flows from receiving to customer delivery efficiently. Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts to ensure receiving accuracy and potential receiving errors. Update the weekly receiving discrepancy log and complete any tasks associated to investigating these discrepancies. Utilize Oracle knowledge to support operations and maintain accurate inventory records. What will make you successful? The ideal candidate will have effective communication and people skills as they will need to work with others on the floor and work with other departments. With natural people leader instincts, you will be able to see both side of the problem and propose solutions to parties involved. Good problem solving, and experience with WMS (Sterling) and Oracle, along with the proven ability to use computers and various types of software are highly valued. Two plus years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. One plus year of leadership experience including mentoring or training newer team members. Must have a two-year College diploma or equivalent experience/ training in business, warehousing, or distribution. Must have a minimum of two years experience in warehouse setting using RF scanners.
