We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join our warm and welcoming team at our school as a Reception Class Teacher. Our school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where children develop a love of learning and reach their full potential.
This full-time role, starting immediately and continuing through the academic year with a potential permanent position after January, offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to our school community. Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs of primary school pupils, ensuring a curriculum that reflects our school’s inclusive and nurturing ethos.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence among pupils.
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering a respectful and caring atmosphere consistent with the school’s values.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing timely feedback and adapting teaching approaches to support individual learning needs.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
  • For Reception class, deliver developmentally appropriate activities that support early years’ learning and development.
  • Employ behaviour management strategies that uphold the school’s positive behaviour policy, ensuring a calm and respectful classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with their personal and social development, promoting the school’s ethos of kindness, respect, and resilience.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times.
