Description POSITION SUMMARY: HAVEN is Oakland County’s only agency offering comprehensive services for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. HAVENs vision is to eradicate SA Sexual assault and IPV intimate partner violence and heal those affected by its injustice. We are committed to our mission to empower survivors to heal and engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence. The receptionist at the front desk of HAVEN will have the opportunity to offer a smile, which can be a beacon of hope and a sense of comfort, to the survivors that come to HAVEN for support. The receptionist position is the first point of interaction for all HAVEN visitors and callers. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer to appropriate staff. · Answer general questions regarding HAVEN programs and services. · Courteously and professionally greet clients, visitors, volunteers, vendors and community partners; allow building access to authorized individuals, notify appropriate staff of arrivals, guide individuals through the building as needed, etc. · Follow all safety protocols and proper screening procedures, notify administrators of high-risk situations and regularly assess for potential improvements to safety processes. · Maintain order, cleanliness and organization of lobby, visitors, donations, volunteers. · Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry for internal and governmental reporting. · Office duties such as, copying, faxing, laminating, scanning, emailing, managing incoming and outgoing U.S. mail. · Ensure counseling logs are accessible and up-to-date, and all appointment information is available for reception all personnel. · Coordinate donation activities which include greeting donors, collecting donation forms, and managing receipt of donated items. · Assist with tracking supply inventory and donation management. · Additional duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Possesses a minimum of high school diploma · At least one year’s experience in an office environment with a combination of administrative work and customer/client service experience required. · Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. · Must have a demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and commit to providing judgement free and empowerment-based services to all HAVEN clients. · Must be able to multi-task and to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence along with quickly prioritizing responsibilities, display strong critical thinking and strategic thinking skills. · Illustrate strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite as well as general internet literacy. · Ability to commute to work daily. · Ability to work occasional evening hours as required.
Responsibilities
