YHA Blue Mountains, nestled in the central area of Katoomba, is a 240-bed facility catering to both domestic and international travelers, as well as sizable groups. This historic site boasts extensive communal amenities, a co-working area, ample space for groups and events, and a diverse range of private and shared rooms. Guests can enjoy a daily breakfast service, with the option of catering for groups and those attending meetings. A dedicated team of 12 staff members strives to create unforgettable experiences for guests, and we are thrilled to announce the recruitment of a new Reception/Housekeeping/F&B member to join this team.

Responsibilities

Front desk: Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property’s friendly and cheerful atmosphere, answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations, checking in and out guests and providing them with information that will assist in an enjoyable stay, resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
Housekeeping: duties include; refreshing communal spaces, bathrooms and accommodation rooms, kitchens, monitoring and replenishing stock and ensuring our property remains sparkling clean.
Food & Beverage: The Food & Beverage Attendant’s role is to ensure the smooth operation of F&B services by providing assistance as needed. Regular interaction with guests is a key part of the job, thus a friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential.
