Job Description Portico is seeking an experienced and people focused Reception Manager to lead our well established front of house team within a prestigious, multi occupied building in the heart of the City. This is a 1 year maternity cover contract, offering the opportunity to shape an exceptional guest experience in a high profile corporate environment. As Reception Manager, you will be the driving force behind the smooth and polished operation of the ground floor reception. You’ll act as the key link between our client, operational leadership, and on site teams—ensuring communication flows seamlessly and service standards remain consistently outstanding. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and support the front of house team to deliver an exceptional client and visitor experience Oversee daily operations, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient service at all times Serve as the primary liaison between the client, operations team, and on site staff Coordinate projects, track timelines, and introduce innovative service enhancements Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships Proactively identify and resolve challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and service excellence What We’re Looking For A confident leader with proven experience in front of house or hospitality management A polished communicator who thrives in a client facing environment Someone who brings initiative, professionalism, and a passion for delivering outstanding service Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with ease If you’re a natural leader with a commitment to exceptional service, we’d love to hear from you. Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri between 7am-6pm Salary: £36,881 Qualifications The successful candidate will bring proven experience in managing front of house teams and operations, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of premium service delivery, with the ability to uphold and champion high standards at all times. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage client relationships, address service challenges with professionalism, and drive continuous improvement across the front of house function. A solid grasp of operational procedures, along with a working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, is essential to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to inspire their team to deliver an exceptional visitor experience.
