Heavy Metal Marine is a marine general contracting company servicing all of British Columbia. We work in marine construction, foundation and bridge installations, with a focus on pile driving and drilling. We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as Reception/Office Administrator in Malahat, BC. This regular, full-time position is scheduled in person Monday to Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm.
Responsibilities of this role include:
· Reception, answer phone calls and general inquiries, communicate with customers, assist with billet sales orders, schedule couriers and deliveries, book appointments, order supplies
· Assist management team with administrative tasks including tender packages, track tenders, book hotels, compile site binders, request insurance and bond certificates
· Create equipment files, track equipment certificates and inspections, assist in permit applications
· Miscellaneous office and administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum one year office experience
· Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
· Able to multi-task, be flexible and organized
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines
· Motivated, proactive and a self-starter
· Skilled in preparing documents and reports
· Work as part of a team, and carry out the duties of the position with independence
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues
Ideal candidate will be:
· Located in Langford or Cowichan Valley, BC.
· Minimum one year construction experience
· Certificate in Office Administration, or equivalent an asset
Wage is flexible, depending on candidate experience
