Black Mountain Home for Children is seeking a dedicated Reception & Special Projects Assistant to provide a warm welcome to guests, support staff through administrative service, and assist with ministry projects that help our campus run smoothly. The primary responsibility of this role is to create an inviting and well-organized environment for guests and visitors while offering dependable support across departments. From greeting visitors and coordinating hospitality to assisting with special projects and seasonal needs, this position plays a vital part in helping our ministry honor Christ in daily operations. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative support for the ministry, including data entry, filing, copying, mailings, and assisting with special projects. Serve as receptionist and hospitality coordinator by answering phones and greeting guests, assisting visitors, managing incoming and outgoing mail, receiving and routing donations or deliveries to the appropriate department, and completing other assigned front-desk tasks. Assist with special projects as needed across departments. Help manage Amazon wish list donations by sorting and distributing items to the appropriate teams. Assist in keeping facilities clean, welcoming, and tour-ready. Maintain updated information in entrance door cabinets and create bulletin board displays. Assist with holiday decorating and seasonal campus needs. Be available to support events or ministry needs at least two weekends per month, as needed. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in clerical and administrative support Valid driver's license Availability to work at least two weekends per month Preferred: Experience in non-profit or youth ministry environments
