RECEPTION SUPERVISOR

The Four Star Bloomfield House Hotel, Located 5 minutes from Mullingar Town, is currently recruiting for a Head Receptionist.
The ideal candidate must be able to work day and evening shifts as well as week-ends.
The candidate must have previous experience in a similar role

Experience:

  • receptionist: 2 years (required
Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner - check in and out guests efficiently and quickly
  • To be aware of the business in the system and the status of all arrivals including groups and tours
  • Ensure billing is correctly and efficiently completed to the agreed standards
  • Answer switchboard and telephone in a friendly, professional manner, transferring calls to correct extensions and dealing with requests
  • Ensure the team are dealing with telephone, email and face to face enquiries in a courteous, professional, organized and timely manner.
  • Write the reception roster and ensure adequately covered at all times.
  • Oversee the smooth running of reception in accordance with the hotel’s SOPs.
  • Have full knowledge of the hotel’s special rates and packages and ensure reception and reservations personnel are updated with any new promotions
  • To be efficient in Rezlynx
  • Liaise with all other departments and so help in the smooth running of the hotel operations
  • Adhere to all Company policies including Customer Care, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Cash Handling
  • Promote and sell the Hotel’s facilities
  • Recognise VIP and regular guests and ensure all the receptionists are also familiar with them. This applies to both in house guests and new arrivals
  • Record reservations accurately, noting any special requests
    Candidates shall ideally have at least 2 year previous experience working at the Front Desk in a similar property and will always strive to provide our guests with the highest standards in customer care. Please note that this position involves weekend work. The hours of work for this role will involve early shifts and late shifts 5 days per week. Due to the working hours, this role may be best suited to an individual that has their own means of transport.
