JOB SUMMARY:

As a Reception Supervisor in a hospitality setting, you’ll be responsible for leading the front desk team in delivering exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure. You’ll ensure smooth daily operations, coach and support reception staff, and be the go-to person for resolving guest queries and challenges. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-facing environment and leads by example with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a hotel reception or front office role (1 year at supervisory level preferred).
  • Brand Experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Confident using hotel management systems (e.g., OPERA, Cloudbeds, Guestline).
  • Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and concierge services.
  • Ensure an outstanding level of service is delivered consistently by all reception staff.
  • Welcome guests with a friendly, approachable attitude and assist with any needs or concerns.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues calmly and professionally, resolving them promptly.
  • Train, mentor, and support front desk team members; lead daily shift briefings.
  • Ensure accurate billing, posting of charges, and guest folio management.
  • Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate room readiness and address guest requests.
  • Monitor lobby appearance and ensure reception areas are clean, well-organized, and inviting.
  • Manage shift handovers and ensure effective communication between shifts and departments.
  • Support the Operations Manager with admin tasks, rosters, and performance reviews.
