Description

The post holder will lead and facilitate the development of an efficient and high-quality patient focused reception and administrative service across the Imaging Department. To work within the Imaging Department in a supervisory role promoting professional and courteous conduct for all A&C staff in the Imaging Department.
The role involves management responsibility for all A&C staff in the department, including monitoring of productivity, training and personal development needs.
As the Imaging services expands and 7 day services commence the post holder will be required to work flexibly to support the service. This may involve working core hours over 7 days including extended days and weekends.
The post holder will ensure that all patient appointments are booked in accordance with clinic guidelines, and that patients are contacted by telephone where possible if an appointment is to be offered at short notice.
Management responsibility for all A&C staff in the department, including monitoring of productivity, training and personal development needs. Undertake annual performance review of other staff in the department, in conjunction with the Modality Leads.
To demonstrate a high standard of customer care by being courteous and helpful at all times to patients, visitors and staff.
Ensure that all patient appointments are booked in accordance with clinic guidelines, and that patients are contacted by telephone where possible if an appointment is to be offered at short notice.
To monitor and ensure that all telephone calls are answered within the agreed time in line with Trust telephone standard.
Be responsible for ensuring that all change/rescheduled appointments at the request of patients or clinicians are in line with Trust policy.
To ensure that all patients are accurately registered on the Radiology Information System (RIS) in line with “One Patient, One Record” policy and clinical alert documentation such as special needs is completed as necessary.
Liaise with Modality Leads on a daily basis to ensure that an efficient interface between the reception and administrative team and the Radiographic Team.
