About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school team in Watford. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Foster a nurturing, positive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn
  • Deliver high-quality phonics, early maths, and topic-based activities tailored to the needs of each child
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress towards Early Learning Goals (ELGs) and adapt provision accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, specialist staff, and parents to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development
  • Maintain excellent classroom organisation and contribute to wider school life, events, and enrichment opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and principles of early childhood education
  • A caring, patient, and energetic approach to working with young children
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to school life
