Reception Team Leader | Administration/Customer Service | Cambridge | Full time | Permanent | 37.5 hours Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is seeking a Reception Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a hands-on leadership role, ensuring the smooth running of our reception services and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) Lead and support the reception team across varied shifts Promote Spire’s purpose, vision, mission, values, and behaviours Manage timecards, sickness, annual leave, and ensure optimum cover Prepare rotas and flex staffing in line with business needs and budget Set annual objectives, conduct regular 1:1s and team briefs Participate in recruitment, training, and induction processes Achieve KPI targets set by Spire Conduct departmental audits and ensure compliance (DSE, Health & Safety, mandatory training) Investigate Datix incidents and implement improvements Represent the department at meetings, including Patient Experience forums Maintain professional communication and liaison with other hospital departments Ensure confidentiality in line with GDPR regulations Uphold a professional reception environment and uniform standards Resolve or escalate patient complaints appropriately What We’re Looking For Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role (Healthcare setting would be desirable) Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage rotas and staff performance effectively A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Working Hours: Rotational shifts over 5 days, typically Monday to Friday and 1 in every 4 weeks.
