Description SUMMARY Receives customers at the dealership, determines the nature of their business, and directs customers to their destination. Answers basic inquiries, routes incoming calls, takes messages, and provides basic information to all customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Greets showroom customers and determines the nature of their visit. Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message. Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. Obtains basic demographic information about each showroom customer using a log sheet. Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner. Opens and distributes incoming postal mail. Records and stamps incoming checks for accounts receivable. Monitors and distributes online faxes Assists with clerical duties as requested. Maintains a professional appearance. Keeps current on all training requirements; such as GM training, Compliance training and other training as assigned by manager. Sets a good example by maintaining a healthy work demeanor and cooperating with other managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. Represents Puklich Chevrolet Inc. positively when out in the community. MARGINAL DUTIES Marginal Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Balances gas usage book daily and provides monthly totals. Records and stocks used car keys for sales personnel. Assists with recordkeeping for new vehicle inventory for sales personnel. Assists with timecard preparation for service technicians. Creates “Complete Satisfaction” letters for service and addresses envelopes. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
