ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, an international mineral resource company based in Vancouver, is looking for a hard-working and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant on a full-time temporary basis or could go temporary to permanent based on the performance. This role is responsible to assist in daily office tasks, manage general administrative activities and be the first point of contact for visitors that enter the office. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Economics or in a similar field
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative assistant or similar role
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Spanish is a strong asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time-management skills and can do attitude
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests, manage the main switchboard, and respond to email enquiriesMaintain an organized and clean office environment and places orders for office equipment and supplies
  • Assist in preparing proposals and payment requests
  • Make travel arrangements for senior management and employees
  • Liaise with the company’s overseas offices in Bolivia and China
  • Maintain and track office and vendor records and contacts
  • Other related duties as assigned
