Saturday & Sunday (9:00am-5:30pm)
San Diego’s friendliest yacht club is seeking a polished and articulate Administrative Assistant with strong composition skills and experience in customer service to work in a fun, social and dynamic setting.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for giving the Members and Guests of Southwestern Yacht Club a welcoming first impression, providing a memorable experience and maintaining a positive attitude as the face of the Club.

Responsibilities
  • Provides general information as requested, using discretion as to not give out any personal or confidential information.
  • Takes reservations for Guest Dock, Bar & Galley and special events.
  • Responsible for distributing incoming mail amongst colleagues. This also includes forwarding of mail to Member’s home addresses and/or notifying the Member(s).
  • Responsible for guest registration, guest cards, parking passes and maintaining parking decal information in database.
  • Sells and replaces merchandise in displays as sold and notifies Membership Director of requests or special orders.
  • Assists Membership Director with Opening Day, Commodore’s Ball, Vice Commodore’s Ball, New & Prospective Member Open Houses and other special events as needed.
  • Maintains and updates the daily events displaying scheduled Club activities and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications: Must be familiar with fundamental office procedures. Including but not limited to filing, proficiency in Excel, experience with Canva, Microsoft Office, basic computer skills, typing, and handling high volume calls. Candidate should have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills. Team-orientated and willing to assist colleagues with various tasks.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
