Evedale Care Home is in a quiet Coventry neighbourhood, close to shops and public transport for easy visiting. We provide residential and nursing care, including support for complex medical needs. Specialist teams deliver 24-hour care and nursing dementia care with compassion and expertise
We are seeking a Receptionist for administrative support and front-line customer service, ensuring smooth daily operations while assisting residents, their families, colleagues, visitors, and suppliers with professionalism and care

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in a receptionist, admin, or care environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Use computer systems and office software confidently for admin tasks.
  • Understand basic safeguarding and data protection principles.
  • Experience using computer systems and office software confidently for admin tasks.
  • Experienced in handling confidential information in line with GDPR and care home policies.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £12.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week

Responsibilities
  • Greet residents, families, staff, and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and directing them to the appropriate areas.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage emails and forward relevant information to the appropriate team members.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, organised, and welcoming, creating a positive first impression for visitors.
  • Assist with various admin duties such as filing, scheduling appointments, updating resident records, and managing mail.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings or appointments for residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring accurate communication and timely reminders.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in to the home via the digital signing platform
  • Manage deliveries and ensure packages are received, logged, and distributed appropriately.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Address concerns or questions from residents or their families, escalating matters to senior staff when necessary.
