About the role

This is a full-time position in a medical practice supporting the running of multiple doctor's clinics. You will be the primary point of contact for patients and practitioners, managing a range of administrative and clinical support tasks in a busy healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend to enquiries over the phone, email and in person
  • Manage specialist appointments, procedure bookings and patient inquiries
  • Confidence using medical practice software (or willingness to learn) eg HealthTrack
  • Take payments and process Medicare claims (batching), Private Health Fund billing, including reconciling of billing
  • Run multiple doctor's clinics and prepare consulting sessions
  • Work closely with clinic practitioners and admin staff to create a smooth running organisation
  • Maintain the "face of the clinic" by providing excellent customer service and support
  • Import typing from external source
  • Scan and import documents

About you

  • Previous experience in a medical practice (cardiology or specialist practice highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organisation skills with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise and remain calm in a busy environment
  • Confidence using medical practice software (or willingness to learn)
  • A positive, reliable and team focused attitude
