Description

Geneticks is the first private lab in Canada dedicated to providing an accessible and reliable service for testing ticks for tick-borne diseases. We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Receptionist / Marketing Strategist. This is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will be responsible for both receptionist duties and driving marketing initiatives forward. We are seeking a highly organized individual who is passionate about public health and working in a growing company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in a administrative or customer-facing role
  • Background or interest in marketing and social media management
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with website modification (WordPress preferred)
  • Some understanding of tick-borne diseases such as Lyme Disease
Responsibilities

RECEPTIONIST DUTIES:

  • Answer phones and respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist walk-in customers
  • Send out completed testing reports to clients
  • Process customer payments when needed

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement marketing strategies to recruit veterinary and healthcare clinics, as well as other at-risk organizations, to use our tick testing services
  • Use social media platforms to promote Geneticks and raise awareness about tick safety and disease prevention
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as blog posts, social media content, and newsletters
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new marketing initiatives
