It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.

Be the First Smile They See. Be the Calm Voice They Hear.
Why this role matters
When someone walks through our doors, they may be facing some of life’s toughest challenges. As our Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of connection and compassion—offering a warm welcome, a listening ear, and efficient support that helps people feel seen, heard, and respected.
At The Salvation Army, we don’t just offer services—we offer hope, dignity, and belonging. If you’re someone who brings heart and professionalism to everything you do, we invite you to be a part of something deeply meaningful.
About the role
As part of our Homelessness Services team, you’ll provide a blend of front-of-house reception, initial client assessment, and administrative support. Your ability to communicate warmly and manage a busy environment with care will help create a welcoming, respectful space for all who seek support.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connection, organisation, and making a difference in people’s lives—often in their moment of greatest need.
