OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our friendly team.
Alton Surgery sits at the heart of Alton village in the Staffordshire Moorlands. We are a dispensing practice who serve a rural community of 2700 patients.
In this role, you will help our patients navigate healthcare services, be the first point of contact, and provide great customer service while handling administrative tasks.

FLEXIBILITY IS A MUST AS OVERTIME IS REQUIRED TO COVER STAFF ABSENCES ON OCCASION.

• Signposting patients to appropriate healthcare professionals, booking and scheduling appointments.
• Answer telephone calls, dealing with the caller’s request appropriately.
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions, inputting data as needed.
• Provide administrative support including managing patient registrations, scanning documents and processing letters.
• Monitor and action the practice’s incoming emails and correspondence.
• Collaborate with and support the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Manage all patient queries efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.
