Receptionist - Job Description   Job Title: Receptionist/Cashier Report to: Controller Receptionist/Cashier   As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist's duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.   The primary responsibilities of the Receptionist position are to maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and cash register operations.   Job Responsibilities * Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office * Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office * Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls * Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures) * Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email * Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges) * Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing * Responsible for accurately collecting and recording all cash, check, and credit card payments and credit card refunds * Responsible for assisting with willcall * Responsible for the distribution of all faxes and other incoming documents * Daily reconciliation of the cash box at the end of the day with assistance from the Accounts Receivable Department * Responsible for answering the phone.   Essential Functions * Ensure each customer receives outstanding service * Greet customers as they enter the store. * Answer phone calls. Requirements * Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role * Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks * Customer service attitude       NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the Receptionist.
