POSITION SUMMARY:

ErinoakKids is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Receptionist at our Mississauga site. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Receptionist acts as a first point of contact for our clients and your personality, attitude, and organizational and problem-solving skills influence a client’s impression and experience of the organization.
The successful candidate will provide a positive image of ErinoakKids and will participate as an active member of the site in meeting overall goals and objectives. The Receptionist’s front-line duties and related administrative functions ensure client and staff needs are supported and that the client’s overall experience with the organization is positive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responds to client and general inquiries in person and by telephone, and directs client concerns appropriately following organizational policy;
  • Enters, attends, and edits client appointments in Meditech, as required;
  • Accountable for appointment outcomes and data integrity related to appointments;
  • Ensure client confidentiality at all times;
  • Responsible for overall incoming/outgoing mail for the site;
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized reception area;
  • Acts as a main point of contact during emergency codes and procedures and supports any emergency procedures as per organizational policy.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • A college diploma in a related field is an asset;
  • Proficient knowledge of office equipment (postage meter machines, fax machines, photocopiers and multi-line telephone systems);
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others;
  • Able to problem-solve effectively to meet the requests and needs of clients and staff;
  • Able to resolve issues in a timely manner using good judgment;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products;
  • Working knowledge of Meditech information systems is an asset;
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
