Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking a Receptionist to support Assessment Services during the Summer School exam period. This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-energy team at a critical time in the academic calendar, providing frontline support to students and staff. You’ll be one of the first points of contact in the exam centre, helping to ensure exams run efficiently, calmly and professionally. This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can remain composed under pressure. Please note this is a casual role and the remuneration is $28.53 per hour. Ngā mahi matua | What you’ll be doing In this role, you will: Welcome and assist students and staff in the exam centre Confidently use online systems to support exam operations Respond to queries and provide clear, friendly guidance Move between tasks throughout the day as priorities change Support the smooth set-up and running of exams, including some walking and light lifting You’ll be well supported with training and orientation prior to the exam period. He kōrero mōu | About you You’ll bring a positive attitude and a calm, professional approach to your work. You will ideally: Be confident using online systems and learning new processes quickly Enjoy interacting with a wide range of people Be flexible, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Remain calm and focused during busy periods Be physically comfortable with walking and some lifting as part of the role Availability is essential for this role. You must be able to work both mornings and afternoons for the full exam period from the 10th of June to the 27th of June and be available for training and orientation in the week prior.
