Position begins As Soon As Possible Nashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking a part time receptionist/clerk to work afternoon hours. Hours are outlined below.Monday, Wednesday, Friday11:30 am - 3:30 pmTuesday, Thursday12:30 pm - 4:00 pmThe position provides general receptionist and telephone answering services for the School, and general clerical assistance.Essential Job Functions Include: Greeting and directing all visitors in the Central Administrative OfficeAnswering the School telephone and directing calls and inquiries to appropriate offices and staff membersMonitoring Lobby-guard use to insure all visitors enter building securelyRecording and transmitting messagesAccepting and processing all mail and receivablesUsing a computerUsing a postage meterTyping documents as assignedProofreading reports, forms, requisitions and other documents for accuracyMaintaining regular and punctual attendancePerforming other work (clerical, filing, data entry, typing etc.) as assigned by the Superintendent or designeeAssisting with inventory and maintaining and ordering suppliesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities to include: Computer skills, including knowledge or, or ability to learn, computer programs applicable to the position.Ability to greet and direct visitors in a pleasant and professional mannerAbility to take, and accurately record, messages on the telephone and in personAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to interact courteously and appropriately with School Administration, staff, parents or guardians, students, and the publicAbility to understand and carry out oral and written instructionsAbility to maintain confidential informationAbility to function in an appropriate professional manner in a hectic work environmentKnowledge of, and ability to apply, business EnglishKnowledge of current office practices and technologyFor more information, please request the complete job description
