OVERVIEW

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires attention to detail, and proficiency in use of computer and IT.
It is a highly pressurised and very busy environment and so experience in a similar role would be advantageous, though not essential. You will be expected to cover Tues 6 - 8pm as part of our Extended hours 1 in 6 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • A friendly disposition with a patient-focused approach to health care delivery.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients in a calm and professional manner, ability to converse at ease with patients is essential.
  • Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, and directing calls to the appropriate Clinical and Administrative personnel.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Perform clerical duties including data entry.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and dealing with patients queries.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail.
